September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever. Each year, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that day and the nearly 120,000 people who have been affected by 9/11 toxic exposure. We honor the first responders, service members, and families forever changed by that day.
The 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance was created so that this day is defined not only by loss, but by the compassion, unity, and resilience it inspired. Every year, people across the country turn tragedy into purpose by volunteering, giving back, and supporting one another.
